Obtaining truly representative results in RX or LIBS depends very much on the previous step, the manufacturing of the pellet. The Hydraulic Manual Pellet Press EQO-1 has been specially designed to achieve high quality pellets, homogeneous and stable. Able to apply pressure up to 20 tons, it is simple and safe to manage, and it occupies very little room in the laboratory.

The sample is placed in the chamber, specially designed for this purpose, then you lower the spindle and exert pressure progressively on the hydraulic lever until reaching the desired pressure – which you can control visually at all times with the analog gauge -. Once the level you wanted has been reached, the pressure is released through the pressure relief device, the plunger goes up and you can remove the pellet.

The undertaking of the disks must guarantee a high degree of cohesion and stability. The EQP-100 Press is specially designed to obtain the best results in the manufacturing of pellets. Of robust and durable design, it is simple to use and very effective, and it is the only one in the market offering up to five working programs, simple and double cycle.

The EQP-100 Press can be programmed to apply pressure up to two times in the same process, offering the possibility of digitally regulating the time and the pressure, and the time elapsed in each pressing cycle; this time is necessary, in some cases, for the sample to purge occluded gases – these gases are, generally, the reason for irregularities or cracks the beads-. This capacity makes of it the optimum alternative in the case of difficult samples

The EQP-200 Ultrapress adds to its predecessor (the EQP-100) the possibility of preparing pellets of different diameters and sizes by simply changing the pressing tool at any given moment. The tool itself as it is not fixed to the unit allows for a better cleaning and maintenance service of the same. Also, its high versatility lets you work with varied shapes of mould (square, rectangular, etc…).
